The City of London Bailiffs under instructions from the Landlord will take possession of commercial premises within 24 hours. In accordance of the terms of lease it is still advised that the Landlord instructs the City of London Bailiffs via a Solicitor.
Once the property has been possessed and made secure, notices are then displayed in the windows and on the doors, a keyholder's contact number is on the forfeiture of lease notice's. It is then the Landlords decision on whether to allow the tenant re-entry again.
The Landlord may well of had enough of the tenant and not allow re-entry or, the Landlord may well allow the tenant re-entry after all arrears have been settled. The City of London Bailiffs will act as the Landlords agent in all after possession matters, as keyholder, security on re-entry and handling of any money transfers.
In the event of the tenant not contacting the keyholder, Bailiffs or Landlord in the following seven days after possession. The tenant's left belongings will be sold at auction or any goods of no value will be tipped.
