New Government Bailiff reforms:

Government New Bailiff Reforms: It does seem very ironic and a mass contradiction that the Bailiffs questioned for their extortionate fees, actually collect on behalf of the government. Business rates, community tax, parking fines and congression charges being the most extortionate. A £60.00 parking fine rising to £180.00, being collected as an outstanding balance with Bailiff fees added totalling £657.00. The other ironic factor in this matter is that, most of the Bailiff companies collecting these charges in London are actually based outside the capital. The City of London Bailiffs, now and prior to the proposed changes already operate a fee charging procedure within the new government guidelines. Non force of entry, that being as lawful peaceful entry and no entry on property where there are unaccompanied minors present, is a policy that we and all other companies that we know, already operate as a strict procedure. The new proposed government guidelines also include, a "no calling after dark " ruling.
This "no calling after dark" ruling is supported by the Citizens Advice Bureau, adding more one sided support to the debtor. The Winter months bring with it, hours of daylight from 0730 - 1600 Hrs, the times most people are at work. So it is safe to say that debtors will soon have a weekday amnesty of some four months a year. Saturday calling is still debatable and of course Sundays are already forbidden by law. It does appear, that the creditor (victim of debt) is again the loser in this matter.
Why does'nt the CAB ever stand up for the creditor or take a more impartial view of the bigger picture.
The City of London Bailiffs, or as we can now be referred to as, the Citizens Advice Bureau for Creditors, now offer free professional advice to all creditors without the wooden tip box. If you are a creditor please, feel free to discuss in confidence with us any concerns you may have regarding any debt matters.
The City of London Bailiffs are willing to abide to all Government reforms.
The City of London Bailiffs will continue to assist our clients to the best of our knowledge and abilities.
